Six weeks of excavation teaching that still produced a usable archive.
Could students learn context recording without leaving a trench no later crew could continue?
A teaching trench still has to lodge an archive. Students learned context recording, drawing, and packing on Mount Zion under the existing excavation license. Teaching did not get a second, looser standard.
Supervisors signed every sheet. Finds were numbered and packed for the named archive. The file was written so a later crew could continue the trench without starting over.
Credit is the university’s decision. We produce a field file. We do not issue degrees.
Where the file went
Named archive; school keeps the grades
Regional place only. The rest belongs to the director, the license, and the named archive.
Send the site or district, what you already know, and a deadline. We will say if a trench would not answer the question. We record to the excavation license. We do not issue it.
